MYCORRHIZAL DEVELOPMENT IN EUCALYPTUS CAMALDULENSIS DEHNH

نویسندگان

چکیده

Effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) and ectomycorrhizal (EM) inoculation on mycorrhiza formation development in E. camaldulensis seedlings were assessed this study. Two experiments, the first with AM fungi second EM fungi, set up successively using vermiculite-peat (VP) as growth medium, 2.5 mg l-1, 5.0 10 l-1 20 phosphorus (P) Ingestad's nutrient solution each experiment. The experiment three inocula (including Glomus clarum Nicolson Schenck. (isolate BR148-1) Gigaspora rosea FL105-5) one from a trap culture Bangladeshi soil) resulted 30-50% colonisation; most colonisation was by G. BR148-1 highest at P (>50%). In similar five isolates Pisolithus tinctorius (Pers.) Coker Couch., only isolate K55 >15% which occurred (>25%) while other <1% colonisation. This study showed that tended to be colonised more readily arbuscular- than ecto-mycorrhizal initial period seedling growth. There indications species could become after 16 weeks glasshouse, but proper care should taken select appropriate compatible inoculants.

Characterisation of Adaptive Genetic Diversity in Environmentally Contrasted Populations of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. (River Red Gum)

As an increasing number of ecosystems face departures from long standing environmental conditions under climate change, our understanding of the capacity of species to adapt will become important for directing conservation and management of biodiversity. Insights into the potential for genetic adaptation might be gained by assessing genomic signatures of adaptation to historic or prevailing env...

Novel design and deployment of orthologous genic SSR markers in Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh

Background Eucalyptus camaldulensis is a widely planted tree species in India, because of its rapid growth and adaptability to dry regions. Genetic improvement through informed breeding of E. camaldulensis largely depends on availability of molecular markers, linkage maps and genome information. Microsatellite markers, also called as simple sequence repeats (SSRs) have wide application due to t...

Antifungal Activity of Essential Oil of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. against Selected Fusarium spp.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the antifungal activity of essential oil (EO) of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh. against five Fusarium spp. commonly associated with maize. The essential oil had been extracted by steam distillation in a modified Clevenger-type apparatus from leaves of E. camaldulensis and their chemical composition characterized by gas chromatography mass spectrometr...

Phenolic Constituents of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh, with Potential Antioxidant and Cytotoxic Activities

A liquid chromatography-diode array detection-electrospray ionization mass spectrometric (HPLC– PDA–ESI/MS/MS) method was used for separation and characterization of the phytoconstituents of the aqueous acetone leaf extract of Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh (Myrtaceae). The employed method was optimized for separation, identification and quantification of fifty six compounds including ellagitan...
